Eelke Folmer

I am a Computer Scientist, Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am the director of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab. My research interests have spanned from software engineering, human-computer interaction, accessibility, assistive technology, augmented reality to currently: virtual reality. I'm currently interested in solving VR's virtual locomotion problem, how to navigate large VR environments efficiently with a high presence and without getting motion sick. My research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, Microsoft, Google, Mozilla and the National Institute of Health. I further like cross-fit, cycling, gardening and anime.
